Join us on a fun and informative trek through the historic and commercial heart of Atlanta. The walk provides an overview of influences on the city from Reconstruction to Coca-Cola, Gone With the Wind to the Civil Rights Movement, the Centennial Olympic Games to the film industry

This is primarily a walking tour and does not include entry to ticketed locations

In case of inclement weather, your tour will be adapted to a driving tour

Stops on your DTour will include:

  • Woodruff Park - this 6-acre park in the center of downtown is the location for several popular films including Avengers Infinity War as well as the symbol of Atlanta, the Rising from the Ashes phoenix sculpture

  • Fairlie Poplar Historic District - the historic commercial center of Atlanta includes architectural styles popular in the late 19th and early 20th century and also contains Atlanta’s Flatiron Building, completed 5 years prior to NYC’s

  • Peachtree Street - located along Atlanta’s main thoroughfare is one of the South’s oldest private social clubs, several historic churches and the site of the deadliest hotel fire in US history

  • Hyatt Regency & Marriott Marquis - the first atrium hotel tower built in the US, and Atlanta’s largest hotel which was used as a filming location for The Hunger Games

  • Centennial Olympic Park - built for the ‘96 Olympics, this 75-acre urban park has become the hub of the city’s tourist attractions including The World of Coke, Georgia Aquarium, National Center for Civil Rights and Skyview Wheel

  • CNN Center - the world Headquarters for the Cable News Network, founded by Ted Turner in 1980

  • Mercedes Benz Stadium - home of the Falcons and Atlanta United, this architectural marvel is host to the 2019 Super Bowl
